You’ll Love Yengo National Park Part Two: Walking Trails and Lookouts

We have been featuring the national parks in the region north of Sydney in New South Wales.  We featured Berowra Valley National Park, Marramarra National Park, and Dharug National Park. Today, we will be highlighting part two of our blog series on Yengo National Park. It is adjacent to Dharug National Park directly to the east and in the Lower Hunter region of New South Wales. The park is vast, covering 154,328 hectares of land. This protected park along with seven other national parks all make up the UNESCO World Heritage listed Greater Blue Mountains Area. The Secret’s Out: Marramarra National Park

Last week, we featured Berowra Valley National Park, today we are headed just north of Berowra to Marramarra National Park. It is close to Sydney; takes less than 1 ½ hours to drive there. Marramarra National Park is 11,785 hectares of land 40 km north west of Sydney’s CBD. However, it is hard to imagine that this nature wonderland is that close to one of the biggest cities in the entire Southern Hemisphere and all of Australia. It feels remote and is a haven for outdoor lovers because you can camp here, kayak, canoe, swim, cycle, picnic, bird watch, fish, and bushwalk.
