There are many animals that Australia is famous for. Many people travel just to see the native animals that Australia is known for. As you travel around Australia, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the native wildlife. You can then know which animals to seek out and which to avoid. The Tasmania Tigers featured in the image above unfortunately went extinct in the 1930’s. We are featuring the animals of Australia to highlight their importance and try to ensure that extinction of any native species here never happens again. Of course if you want close up encounters with animals, you can visit any one of Australia’s zoos or wildlife refuges.
