This extraordinary festival of food and wine takes place each November. This year, it is the weekend of 20 – 22 November, 2015. It is 3 days filled with delicious culinary delights from some of the best chefs from Australia and all over the world. The festival has several popular signature events and some new events this year. There are events in the main Gourmet Village, satellite events at local restaurants, vineyards, and other locations like the Audi Gourmet Beach BBQ, and then fringe events throughout the region to help put a spotlight on the beauty of the entire Margaret River Region. The festival is packed with so many things to do; you have several events to choose from each day. Your stomach may want to attend all 64 events, but your mind will tell you that it isn’t possible. You will have to pick and choose which events to buy tickets to so that you can customise your own experience at the festival.

At the centre of the Margaret River Gourmet Escape is the Gourmet Village. During 2 of the 3 day festival this village is a buzzing hub for the event. Inside the village, the food traditions of the region are showcased. From 11am to 5:30 pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday, inside the Gourmet Village, you will find cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, master classes, smaller Q & A sessions, and panel discussions on hot culinary topics. Near the Gourmet Village is the Audi VIP Customer Lounge where you can sit and relax and take in the sights, sounds, and smells in comfortable style. Audi owners can show their key to enjoy added benefits and exclusive perks. You can purchase GEMs (Gourmet Escape Money) in advance when you buy tickets and use those to purchase food and drinks throughout the Gourmet Escape or bring cash since no ATMs will be available on site.
